The path, gently held

The classic circumambulation of the Annapurna massif — bamboo forest at Chame, apple orchards of Manang, the crossing of Thorong La in wind and prayer flags, and the pilgrim descent to Muktinath's sacred springs. The old road has been shortened by jeep tracks; the soul of the walk is still all there.

Routing policy

Every connector prioritises official hiking paths, forest tracks and quiet approach lanes suitable for walking with a pack. Busy roads, highways and shoulder-less rural roads are avoided; where no pedestrian alternative exists, the segment is shown as a public transit link instead of a hike. Ascent is called out clearly so the approach climb is never a surprise, and each walkable connector ships a valid GPX so hikers can download the approach alongside the main route.
