Morskie Oko — Eye of the Sea
Poland's most beloved walk — a wide forest road that opens onto a deep emerald glacial lake ringed by Rysy and the granite giants. A mountain hut serves pierogi at the shore.

Practical, gently arranged
Bus from Zakopane to Palenica Białczańska (40 min, runs hourly). The 9 km road to the lake is car-free — walk, or take a horse-drawn cart in summer.
Schronisko Morskie Oko (book months ahead) for an alpenglow morning at the lake; otherwise the wooden pensjonats of Zakopane are deeply warm.
The road is wide, gentle, and stroller-friendly to Włosienica. Pierogi and oscypek cheese at the hut — a deep, slow Polish lunch.
