Day 3 · the alpine crossing

Mintaro → Mackinnon Pass → Dumpling

The day everyone comes for. Zigzag climb through beech into the alpine, cresting Mackinnon Pass at 1,154 m for the double panorama of Clinton and Arthur valleys — then a knee-shaking descent past Sutherland Falls (580 m) to Dumpling Hut.
