Gmund am Tegernsee · Mangfallgebirge
Gindelalm Loop
The kindest full day above the lake. Forest track from Gmund lifts you onto the Gindelalm terrace — three old alm huts on an open shoulder where the Alps stand behind you and Munich glints on the plain. The way home crosses the Gindelalmschneid and drops to the Neureuth for a last long look down the whole Tegernsee.

Every dimension is measured from the route's real GPX shape — distance, ascent and time on foot — then ranked against the whole PureSoul library, and read the same way on hiking, walking and running. The chips under each bar are the raw inputs, so you can check the number yourself. Nothing here is sponsored.

Practical, gently arranged
BOB Munich → Gmund am Tegernsee (≈50 min); the loop starts at the station, no car needed.
Forest road and broad alm track throughout — buggy-tolerant to the Gindelalm, one rockier link over the Schneid.
Gindelalm and Neureuth both serve Brotzeit and refill bottles; nothing in between, so carry 1 L.
The easiest of the nine. Children from 6 manage it; the alm meadow is a natural long picnic stop.
