Practical, gently arranged
TER train from Paris Austerlitz to Blois-Chambord (1h35), then the free navette shuttle to the château. All footpaths inside the domaine are waymarked.
Sturdy trainers are enough — soft forest tracks and estate lanes, no rough ground. Free trail leaflets at the château visitor centre.
Gentle throughout. The Chambord grounds are free to roam; bring a picnic for the lawn and finish inside the château.
